Street Messages
€23.90€15.00There is plenty of creativity within the international graffiti and street art scene. Writing text messages in public spaces has been a unique art form and a means of communication between humans for over 30,000 years.
Many street artists work only with text, written messages or poems, and not necessarily only with colourful murals, styles, tags and logos. Street Messages is the first publication that delivers a deep insight into this literary form of expression in the world of global street art.
The streets are full of artistic and poetic forms of expression – messages written by graffiti and street artists. Street Messages offers a historic background to written messages in public spaces and introduces more than 80 artists from across the world who work exclusively or partly with text. The vast body of information and numerous exclusive quotes and words of wisdom makes Street Messages the first book to shed some light on this as yet undocumented form of street art culture.
Features artwork by Banksy, Dolk, Ben Eine, Faith 47, Flint…, Kid Acne, Know Hope, Mobstr, Skki and many more.Nicholas Ganz aka Keinom is a freelance photographer and author from Essen, Germany. He started to paint in the streets in 1994 and has been documenting graffiti and street art ever since. In 2004, he published his first book, Graffiti World, which became a world-wide best-seller and was translated into 11 languages. In 2006, he released Graffiti Women and went on to write several books about Burma/Myanmar.

Magic City – The Art of the Street (Stockholm Edition)
€24.90€15.00Our MAGIC CITY is a place and a non-place. It is not the physical city of brick and mortar but rather the urban space of internalized meanings. It is the city as subject and canvas, neither theme park nor stage set, but an exhibition showcasing more than 40 of the most original and celebrated artists working on and in the city today. This is a celebration of the universal character of cities as well as a love letter to their infinite diversity. Cities have been designed to facilitate work, but artists have transformed them into playgrounds for the imagination and ideas. This is the invitation called outside our window by friends and strangers with restless spirits: come out and play. MAGIC CITY -The Art in the Streets features the work of: AIKO, AKRylonumerik, Andy K, Asbestos, Benuz, Jens Besser, Biancoshock, Mark Bode, Bordalo II, Ori Carino & Benjamin Armas, Henry Chalfant, Martha Cooper, Isaac Cordal, Daze, Brad Downey, Tristan Eaton, Ron English, Shepard Fairey, FINO’91, Ganzeer, Anders Gjennestad, Ben Heine, HERAKUT, Icy & Sot, Leon Keer, Loomit, MadC, OAKOAK, Odeith, OLEK, Qi Xinghua, Replete, ROA, Jaime Rojo, Skewville, SpY, Truly, Juandres Vera, WENU, Dan Witz, Yok & Sheryo and Ernest Zacharevic.
Stockholm Edition
MAGIC CITY is always changing; the entire city has become an artists´studio, an urban museum of the imagination. More than 60 of the world´s best street artists specially painted, sprayed, scratched, glued, or even crocheted for this tailor-made city of dreams. With every stopover, new works will appear as others disappear, just as in the streets of any city. In each host city, the organizers support new collaborations, guest artists, and happenings. Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, is the third stop on this journey. This is reflected in the cover art by local artist Martin Ander.DETAILS
