See the world through the eyes of Brooklyn’s Ad DeVille of Skewville as he explores the medium between the simple and the complex.
For his first solo show in Vienna, DeVille will deconstruct the complex style of the Urban Figuration he is known for.
City skylines, human figures, and even the household cat are reimagined using new materials and mediums such as hand-cut stamps. The legendary Skewville custom rollers that once bombed New York City streets for over a decade also makes an appearance, bridging the gap between the past and present. In this new body of work, DeVille channels the simplicity of his childhood while still expressing the inner complexity of life and the medium between the two.
